    • The Mentor 2.0 Project

      In today's rapidly changing world, traditional education and training models face significant challenges. 

      The rise of new technologies, the revolution in the world of work, new required skills, AI and human skill integration are clamouring for designing a new paradigm in the education and training sector. Mentor 2.0 was born to support teachers to thrive in this context.

      Mentor 2.0 is a Cooperation Partnership in the School Education field co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union from 2022 to 2024 and implemented by the Center for Innovative Education (Poland - Coordinator), Lascò (Italy), Femxa Formación (Spain), GTN Solutions (Austria) and KEAN-Κύτταρο Εναλλακτικών Αναζητήσεων Νέων (Greece). 

       

       

       

      Building on the Mentor pedagogy, developed by the Polish Center for Innovative Education and successfully implemented with teachers throughout Poland since 2015, the consortium developed a curriculum and this gamified e-learning course to provide teachers with resources and tools to foster their mentoring skills. The project results were developed involving over 1,000 teachers from primary to upper secondary schools in the five partner countries.

    • Course Structure

      This course consists of six interactive e-learning modules:

      1. Strengthening Self-Motivation - The first module delves into strategies and tools to increase teachers’ and students’ self-motivation. It explores methods and techniques for keeping motivation high, setting realistic goals and maintaining a positive mental state.

      2. Discovering and Managing Talents - The second module explores strategies, techniques and tools to identify student’s hidden talents, manage them effectively and support them in making the most of their unique abilities.

      3. Team Building & Leadership - This module explores how to encourage teamwork in schools and classes, from conflict management techniques to strategies to encourage teamwork and lead others to success.

      4. Digital Tools Enhancing Inclusive Education - In the fourth module, we'll explore how the use of modern digital tools can promote inclusive education and the possibilities offered by technology to create a learning environment accessible to everyone. Module 4 covers software, apps and online resources that enable differentiated and personalised learning.

      5. Schools' Role in Circular Economy - In the fifth module, we’ll reflect on the role of schools in the adoption of sustainable practices and practical environmental education. We will explore the principles of the circular economy and ways to integrate them into teaching practices.

      6. Cooperation between schools and the external environment - In the last module, we'll explore the importance of collaboration between schools and the outside world, particularly with employers. We will delve into strategies to foster a positive synergy between educational institutions and the corporate sector to ultimately enrich students' learning, providing practical learning opportunities and developing skills required in the labour market.

      Upon successful completion of all the modules, you'll be granted a certificate to attest your participation in the course.

      Game Elements

      The course includes game dynamics, mechanics and components to make your journey more engaging. On your pathway, you'll have the chance to earn points while you progress in the course, level up and achieve badges you can use to show your achievements. There are also intangible game dynamics and mechanics you'll meet on your way, like intrinsic motivation, progression, content unlock and feedback.
